ADRA considers all forms of harassment, abuse, and exploitation contrary to its core values. The organization is committed to identifying and addressing these injustices by serving people without discrimination. ADRA acknowledges the prevalence of abuse of power, especially sexual violence, by aid workers in development and humanitarian settings. To address this, ADRA is dedicated to the welfare and protection from sexual harassment, exploitation, and abuse (SHEA) by its staff, as outlined in its previous Protection Policy (2018) and now more explicitly in the PSHEA Policy, Safeguarding Code of Conduct, and ADRA Safeguarding Framework policies and standards.
