ADRA Malawi is a member of the Joint Emergency Food Aid (JEFA) consortium and partners with World Food Program (WFP) to implement food aid and humanitarian assistance initiatives in collaboration with government of Malawi. The project exists to improve short-term food security for people affected by prolonged dry spells, to improve their capacity to produce sufficient food through provision of planting materials and to build the capacity of members of the Civil Protection Committee at all levels in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.
